It often takes a long time before you find the right spawn, I remember rezoning for half an hour before succesfully getting 3 Striders attack me at Ashford Abbey.

Have you tried this? last time I checked when the necro leaves, the minions will attack you if your in range, I havent tried it so i wouldnt know at the moment.

personally, im not a fan of the survivor title as to few just take body guards with them where ever they go...a few solo only and get legendary survivor, those are the true masters of the pve world
and once again, choose one or other...only one can be displayed at a time
the guide will be finished in due time, i post there to say i have not forgotten about it, i am just currently visiting family in israel
for all of you deciding on d/l or wintersday, do winterday...have some fun...this title is only fun once you can wear it(and lvl 1-7 imo)
when i get back i will
1st-do a little catch up in wow
2nd-finish charr section
3rd-broaden the spectrum of characters at which this targets(the charr section is to focused on how to do it with a mesmer, i will make it more general...i have 4 lvl 11 character, a 13 and a 14 so i ended up spending more time on this guide then reaching lvl 20, i hope my sacrifice was worth it and gl)

Wait, wait... do minions give you exp if you kill them?

At 12 death magic, animate bone horror gives you level 14 minion. If they do give exp, having a necro leave and join for your and kill its level 14 minions would be quicker than dleveling. Not to mention you could do it and get survivor!

I was able to get a newly formed guild into champ pt range in 2 nights of gvging before the double champ range weekend to farm. Without blood spiking either, which is even faster. It wasn't difficult...

Tried it a couple of months ago, and they didn't give xp. Haven't bothered trying it again, because I know that ANet wouldn't change something like that. You can try of course, but I doubt it'll work.

just to clear up any misunderstanding, when i said dth lvl by charr, i did mean luring them to the res shrine and going afk, lol i wouldnt bother with any death lvling if i had to sit there the whole time.

pulling charr to the res shrine is fairly simple once u figure it out and only takes on average 15-20 mins for me.

Although maybe i havent been a fan of lvling striders and spiders cause i can usually only have one lvling at a time even though there are 2-3 there at the shrine and im just too lazy to figure it out lol.

In any case, this has been a interesting thread, kinda helped me get back into guild wars. gl to everyone goin for title and congratz to everyone who had the dedication to get it done already!

Currently Ive been testing death leveling to see if i can get it to work... im level 13 atm

However, when I get a good spawn outside barradin(2 striders/spiders), i aggro them and then go afk ... when I get back one has reached max level, and the other is still at its original level.

Am I doing something wrong, why arent both leveling?

if i understand what u asking, you get charm animal, confort animal, and troll unguent at same time. whether a rank 0 troll unguent helps alot depends on how you use it. pre cast before engaging charr and if u running away from a couple casters it can also save you.

In regards to your question, regardless how many spiders and striders go lure near the shrine, only one of them levels up. Its a slow pace if you're considering to use striders/spiders for death leveling. However, charr death leveling is still on going and that's your best option since you can level up more than 1 charr. The charrs level up by group, the first charr group you pulled to the shrine will get the most xp.
